The words we speak in relation to healing can either limit or release Gods faith. When ministering healing there are faith filled words that we need to speak We need to speak the name of Jesus when ministering healing because His name is above the names of all sickness, disease and evil spirits when spoken in faith. (James 5:15-16)
There is no disease or sickness too big for God, it is not Gods will for anyone to be sick or oppressed but for all to be healed (Acts 10:38). Just like Jesus, today many people are delivered from sickness and disease by believers taking authority over the spirit of infirmity. All disease and sickness is caused by the devil, it is the devil that comes to steal kill and destroy (John 10:10).
In Acts 3:16 we find Peter and John, two normal guys who were spirit filled believers going about their day. As they walked Peter healed a lame man in the name of Jesus. This shows us that we don’t need to be all hyped up, we just need to be obedient to God’s word. That is seeing a healing need and praying for it in the name of Jesus and enabling the Holy Spirit to release the dunamis power of God. To be an effective minister in casting out spirits of infirmity, we need to remember we have the authority under and in the name of Jesus to bind and loose the sickness and name it for what it is, we need to Know and use the authority we have in Jesus name.
Matthew 28:18-20
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
